How to post your cars to Facebook groups as well as Marketplace

3 min4 stepsFor: Dealer and Group plansUpdated

To list each car in your Facebook groups too, open DealerToolkit Settings, "Listing", and type your groups under "Groups to tick when listing", one per line, exactly as Facebook names them. On the "List in more places" step DealerToolkit ticks up to 20 of them, then you press Publish. Group ticking is on the Dealer and Group plans.

  1. Join the groups on Facebook first

Join the local buy and sell or car groups you want to post in, using the Facebook account you post from. Facebook only offers groups you belong to that accept Marketplace listings.

  2. Add the group names in Settings

In DealerToolkit Settings, open "Listing" and type each group under "Groups to tick when listing", one per line, exactly as it is named on Facebook. Press "Save settings".

  3. Post as normal

Run your feed, tick the cars and press "Post selected". After the vehicle details, Facebook moves to "List in more places", where Marketplace is already ticked.

  4. Check the ticked groups and press Publish

DealerToolkit ticks each group you named, up to Facebook’s limit of 20. The panel in the corner shows how many were ticked. Check them and press Publish.

Tip:Read each group’s rules. Some groups do not allow dealers, or allow only a set number of posts a week.
