2 min5 stepsFor: EveryoneUpdated

To install DealerToolkit, open its Chrome Web Store page in Google Chrome on a computer, click "Add to Chrome", confirm, then pin it from the puzzle-piece menu. Click the orange car icon to open the side panel and sign in. It takes about two minutes and works on Windows and Mac.

  1. Open Google Chrome on a computer

DealerToolkit runs in Google Chrome on Windows or Mac. It does not run on phones or tablets, because Facebook Marketplace listings with many photos are much quicker to create on a computer.

Make sure you are signed in to Facebook in the same Chrome window you will use for posting.

  2. Go to the Chrome Web Store page

Open the DealerToolkit listing on the Chrome Web Store (the "Add to Chrome" button on this website takes you straight there).

Check the publisher is DealerToolkit before installing.

  3. Click "Add to Chrome" and confirm

Chrome shows the permissions the extension needs. DealerToolkit needs to read your stock feed link and your vehicle photos, which can be on any website, and to fill in the Facebook listing form.

    Click "Add extension" to confirm.

Tip:DealerToolkit never sees or stores your Facebook password. It works inside the Facebook tab you are already logged in to.

  4. Pin the extension to your toolbar

Click the puzzle-piece icon at the top right of Chrome, find DealerToolkit and click the pin next to it. The orange car icon now stays in your toolbar.

  5. Open the side panel and sign in

Click the orange car icon. The DealerToolkit panel opens on the right of your browser with two tabs: "Stock" and "Settings".

Sign in with your DealerToolkit account. Next, connect your stock feed.

Questions about this guide

Does DealerToolkit work in Microsoft Edge?

DealerToolkit is built and tested for Google Chrome on Windows and Mac. Use Chrome for posting to Facebook Marketplace.

Why does the extension ask to read data on all websites?

Your stock feed and vehicle photos can be hosted on any website, so the extension needs permission to download them, and it needs to fill in the form on facebook.com. It does not read your browsing history and never sees your Facebook password.
