DealerToolkit troubleshooting

4 min5 stepsFor: EveryoneUpdated

Most DealerToolkit problems are fixed by checking three things: your feed link opens in a browser, you are logged in to Facebook in the same Chrome window, and the Facebook tab stays open during a run. Fields shown in red can be completed by hand before you press Next or Publish.

  1. "Could not reach the feed" or "The feed returned an error"

Paste the feed link into a new Chrome tab. If it does not show your stock there, contact your stock system provider. Check the link was copied in full.

  2. Cars under "Missing info"

The feed is missing something Facebook needs, shown under each car (for example photos or mileage). Fix it in your stock system and run the feed again.

  3. A field is shown in red on Facebook

DealerToolkit could not fill that field, usually because your feed value does not match any of Facebook’s options. Choose the right option by hand, then press Next.

  4. Photos did not upload

Check the photo links in your feed open in a browser. Very large images can take longer; wait for the photo count to update.

  5. The run stopped

A run stops if the Facebook tab is closed or "Stop run" is pressed. Cars not yet posted stay under "Needs posting". Select them and press "Post selected" again.
